Step into Marilyn Whitman’s Design Studio in her home office in Vista, California and you’ll find modern interior design inspirations mixed with her current favorite style, the ever-so-popular farmhouse look.
“Of course, I am able to design in any style that my clients prefer,” Whitman says. “I have always loved design and also have enjoyed designing and building houses as well as interior design work. I enjoy the process as well as seeing how happy my clients are with their finished home.”
What are you currently loving?
I am enjoying completely renovating a home that the wife has lived in for all her life. When it’s finished it will be a beautiful new home in the farmhouse style with all new furnishings and a very open floor plan! I like to spend some time getting to know my clients and their personal tastes before we begin to plan their home design or redesign.
Best Design Era?
Now is! I love the open floor plan design with a much cleaner and less cluttered look.
